Depending on how important W3C Compliance is to you or your website, you can decrease or increase the effect it has on Sitebeam’s summary scores (Accessibility, Technology, Marketing and Content).
For example, US clients will likely be less concerned about this, as it’s a standard more widely adopted in the UK.
To alter its effect on scores:
- View a website or report
- Click the Site settings button
- Click Test configuration
- Scroll down to the W3C Compliance section
- Choose from one of the options: Irrelevant means it will not affect the summary scores at all, while the other options gradually increase its weighting in these summary scores.
- Click Save changes to remember this setting for this website in future, and re-run any reports to see this take effect.
